Maclean & District Bowls

There were seven Championship matches of Mixed Handicap Singles played last Saturday. Because of other events there are no Championship matches scheduled for this weekend at this time with the exception of one quarter-final catch up game of Mixed Pairs which is to be played this Friday (July 22). However, if any other matches can be arranged by mutual agreement please let Kerry know. Our men travelling bowlers ‘The Cane-cutters’ will be having their midyear appreciation day this Saturday July 23. Play to commence at 9.30am. A good fun day with lots of prizes. The annual Inter District competition for the Johnson/Dignan Shield will take place this Sunday (July 24) at Brunswick heads Club. Congratulations to the following players from our club who have been selected to represent the Clarence River District: Warren McDonald, Gary Scott, Rex Wiseman, Doug Starr, John Nash, Steve Fuller and Kerry Wells. A bus will pick up players at our club at 6.40am on the day. Visitors are always welcome to visit our club and enjoy our renowned hospitality.
