The 2016 AGM is Sunday 28th August 10am at the GDSC, upstairs in the auditorium. All financial members are welcome and encouraged to consider nomination for executive, committee, and selection committee and publicity officer. Friday – Kaos/R Grant again winning the day, runner up to P Heath/K O’Meara. The lucky loser C Clark/R Evens with the Tooheys play of the day R/T Joe 14-05 and would you believe the $400 jackpot not won. Saturday we witnessed a master class in the 2016 Club Open Two Bowls Triples Championship final. Form players D Clark/A Gough/T Lickiss took it right up to the winners in Macca/K Landrigan/B Martin who just had too much polish, taking it 30/21. Well done to both teams for a great game, everyone enjoyed the play from both sides. The huge cash winners of the day to D Wilson/R Nelson/R Douglas. Sunday saw three close games in the Major/Minor Pairs Championship with L Bassett/M Walsh d P Heath/K Landrigan 21/18; Kaos/R Grant d G Gumbleton/R Douglas 17/13; D Clark/G Samuel d M Woodward/R Woodward 20/14 with the days big money winners Kaos/R Grant.
