The Maclean Bowling Club held its annual Maclean Cup fashion parade and high tea on Saturday afternoon, at the club.

Over the last four years, the event has raised over $4000 for the Maclean Hospital Auxiliary and $1700 the Clarence River Women’s Refuge.

The fashion parade showcased race fashions from Clovelly Fashions, Heart of Space, Ta‘Chele Australis and Gallagher and Co and Leonie May Millinery.

Entertainment during the afternoon was by Roo and Carly, with MC Vicki Gulaptis providing a light hearted commentary to the fashion parade.

A raffle on the day raised $1000 and all proceeds from ticket sales to the event, will be going to the Maclean Hospital Auxiliary, towards an ultrasound machine.

This year the Maclean Bowling Club will be sponsoring the children’s fashions on the field for the first time, at the Maclean Cup. With this in mind, this year’s fashion parade incorporated a glimpse into children’s fashion, in the parade.

Organisers of the event wished to thank the team of volunteers who helped with the cooking and catering and wished to say a special thanks to Kerrie Hudson, Lee McKay, Sue Grieve, Joy Allen, Karen Hall, Margaret Stallard, Carolyn Byrum and Meegan Bolton, for their help with catering and serving on the day.

Thanks also to the Heart of Space, Ta Chele Australis and Gallagher and Co, Clovelly Fashions, TNY Beauty, Sanso Cellular, Townsend Store, Brown Brothers, and John Logan Entertainment for donation of prizes to raise funds for the raffle.
