Ulmarra working dog trials

Working stock dog trials were held at the Ulmarra Showground over the weekend.

President of the NSW Working Stock Dog Association Lew Molloy of Grafton said that it was a really good weekend with the weather holding up for them.

“We had about 200 entries for the weekend; about 115 in the Maiden Novice and 85 in the Open event,” said Mr Molloy.

“I want to thank the Ulmarra Campdraft Committee for putting the weekend on for us.

“We had a Bush Dog event on Saturday night with about 15 competitors, which went extremely well. The event is a bit of fun and gives the local fellas a run with their dogs that they normally use for work at home (they can help trial their dog, without the rules of the trials) – which is just a bit of fun,” he said.
