Pennants The final round was played in Grades 6 & 7 last Saturday afternoon. Our No 6’s won the District flag this year, finishing on a high note by defeating Wooli by 70-50, 5 points to 1. Congratulations fellows, very well done. They now go on to represent the CRDBA for Zone honours at Yamba on Saturday and Sunday May 28-29. At Brooms Head our No 7’s had a belated win over the District winners 69-61, 8 points to 2. The final roundup of our District winners are: No 3 Grade – Yamba; No’s 4 & 5’s: Iluka; No 6’s – Maclean; No 7’s – Brooms Head. Congratulations to all the winners and good luck in the Zone play-offs. The Zone play-off venues are Grades 4, 5 & 6 at Yamba, Grades 3 & 7 at Maclean. Championships The remaining 2nd Round match of Club Open Major Singles was played last Saturday afternoon and three of the four quarter-finals round were played on Sunday morning. The remaining quarter-final will be played this Saturday and the semi-finals will be played on Sunday morning. The Club Minor Pairs nominations close on Friday, June 3 at 5pm.
