A fantastic weekend of athletics, sportsmanship and personal bests was enjoyed by 20 Lower Clarence Athletes that competed at the Zone carnival held at Nambucca Heads on December 12-13. Athletes competed in a huge range of both track and field events over the 2 days of competition including discus, javelin, long jump, sprints, 1500m run and 1500m walk. A number of personal bests were achieved and many athletes have progressed to the Regional carnival that is to be held in Newcastle in February 2016. The carnival ended on a high note with both junior girls and boys relay teams placing 3rd.
