Lower Clarence Laurel Club

There were twelve members and four Legatees at the recent meeting of the Lower Clarence Laurel Club. In the absence of President Marie Young, former president, Barbara Knight, took the chair.

The Golf Day held by Grafton Legacy was very successful. There was some discussion regarding the next movie day and Legatee Jim will check on the details for the next meeting.

This is Legacy Week and there will be a stall in Yamba today September 4 and in Maclean on Friday September 6.

The guest speaker was Gus Young from TeleCommunications 4 All in Yamba, partnered with Telstra. He explained how the NBN works and was kept busy answering questions and helping those who were having problems.

The raffle winners were Del Morrison, Lee Small and Maggie Combley.

The next meeting will be on Monday September 16 at the Maclean Services Club.
