All you need is plenty of enthusiasm, the readiness to challenge yourself, learn new skills, expand your knowledge across a range of topics, and have plenty of fun while meeting new people and forming new friendships.

You also need to have a good character, to be determined, and prepared to give it 100 percent.

But the adventure you could be about to experience will be unlike any other.

Nominations for the 2023 Grafton Show Young Woman of the Land are currently open to women aged between 18 and 25, while the 2023 Junior Showgirl nominations are open to girls aged between 14 and 17, and the 2023 Tween Showgirl nominations are open to girls aged between 8 and 13.

Nominations for the 2023 Grafton Show Man of the Land are currently open to men aged between 14 and 17, and Boy of the Barn nominations are open to boys aged between 8 and 13.

Along with being a proud ambassador during the 2023 Grafton Show, the 2023 Grafton Show Young Woman of the Land will also represent the Grafton Show Society and their local community in the Zone 1 Final next year, where they will have the opportunity to travel to Sydney and participate in the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show and compete alongside the winners from other NSW zones for the chance to receive the title of 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show Young Woman of the Land.

2022 Grafton Show Young Woman of the Land Reny Dooley is encouraging anyone interested in nominating to back themselves and give it a go.

“You will learn so much about yourself, and you’ll also have a lot of fun,” she promised.

“It’s a great opportunity to become more involved with your local community and the show society, and you will be encouraged and supported every step of the way.

“The one thing I always tell myself is ‘what’s the worst that can happen?’, so don’t be shy because there is so much you stand to gain.”

Anyone interested in nominating is encouraged to contact Carmell Sanne at The Hope Chest on 66 427 309.

Nominations close on March 3.
