Lynne Mowbray Clarence Valley artist Linda Elmir has begun her yearly task of adding a splash of colour to Grafton in the lead up to this year’s Jacaranda Festival. Linda, who is known around the Clarence Valley for the tartan clad painted telegraph poles in Maclean and painted windows for many business houses depicting the Jacaranda festival and the July racing carnival, enjoys her job. “I have a few more jacaranda themed jobs lined up to do in Grafton,” she said. Linda enjoys chatting to the many people who stop to admire her work, as they pass by.
