Lawrence Museum bumper garage sale

It’s bargain hunting time again at the Annual Lawrence Museum Bumper Garage Sale. Gates will open at 7.30am on Saturday 2 April in the Museum gardens at 2 Merton Street, Lawrence. The sale includes furniture, household appliances, bikes, books, toys, china, glassware, artworks, decor items, plants, tools, jewellery, clothing, linen, old lace, stereo equipment, LP’s, electric scooter, and heaps more. The volunteers have spent several weeks collecting and sorting the items and everything is priced to sell. Vice President Rae Harrison explained, “We have a wealth of good quality items this year, bargain hunters will not be disappointed.” Refreshments will be available, with BBQ, homemade cakes, sandwiches and drinks. The Garage Sale is an important fundraiser for the museum. This year the museum aims to build a new shed. Additional space is needed to preserve, maintain and display the exhibits for present and future generations to appreciate. The Annual Garage sale attracts buyers from all over the Clarence Valley, and everyone can be sure of finding a bargain. If wet weather, the Garage sale will be held at the Lawrence Hall. The Lawrence Museum is open Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm.
