The Lawrence Ladies Group recommenced for 2021 on Wednesday night, at the Lawrence Golf Club.

A two-course meal was enjoyed, and attendees were able to catch up with one another and chat about what they had been doing since our last meeting in December.

Dean Agic, the ‘Artisan Choclatier’ from Lawrence was our guest speaker and gave a very interesting talk of the intricacies of chocolate making.

Dean also gave a history of his journey into becoming a choclatier, which was both interesting and informative. Dean’s narrative was very easy to listen to, and he had his audience fascinated with his story.

Dean brought samples of his chocolates for tasting and we were able to taste chocolate from the raw cocoa bean, which is slightly bitter, to the finished product. Dean emphasised that his chocolates were hand made with love, and this certainly was evident as we tasted the large array of samples he provided.

The Lawrence Ladies Group meets socially and informally on the first Wednesday of each month, appreciating the opportunity to meet new ladies and providing a range of activities or speakers, as suggested by members.
