Last week’s Chook Run was held on Tuesday before our Melbourne Cup Day celebration. A huge thank you to John Allan of Maclean Variety Meats who sponsored the day by donating two fantastic meat trays which were raffled off.
The Chook Run was won by Colin Want with nett 29 and the r/up Peter Capp with nett 31. Least putts was taken out by G.P.W Jnr with 13 on a c/b from Shane Rose. NTP on the 4th was won by Lynne Dickens and on the 5th by John McCormack. Nearest the drum on the 2nd went to Max Withnell and on the 9th Warren Hulme.
Saturday was our Ladies 9 hole Stroke event won by Sue Fong Kee with nett 42 and the r/up Sally Weeks with nett 45. NTP was won by Gai Greenwood and least putts taken out by Sue Fong Kee with 13.
Sunday 8th November was our annual Handicapper vs Secretary Stableford event sponsored by Noel and Jenny Butcher. The Handicapper’s team took it out with 207pts to the Secretary’s 198pts. The 9 hole winner with 18pts was Edna Jackson and r/up Dick Grabham with 13pts on a c/b from Pat Parkes. The 18 hole winner with 39pts was Graham Howard and the r/up Anthony Nagle with 38pts. The O’Halloran Motors, John Deere Lawn Care sponsored nearest the pin on the 4th went to Graham Howard for the men and Colleen Stockwell for the ladies and on the 5th to Gary Stockwell. The Maclean Motors sponsored least putts with 14 was taken by Pat Parkes in a 4-way c/b. The Money Tree was won by Tony Berry and our weekly members badge draw went to Pat Parkes who picked up $70 by being present.
Next Sunday, 15th December is a Stroke event sponsored by Maclean Rural Supplies. The starters are Warren Hulme and Penny Stiskin. See you all there at 7am for 7.30am tee off.
