(SARAH CARROLL, FENN WILSON & GEORGE CARROLL WILSON), MICK RYAN, RACH BRENNAN & THE PINES

So here we are in the winter of our frog-content, waiting for our name to appear and spark joy on whatever day it is – Monday? Sunday? Good news – Isol-Aid is your weekend saviour.

The antidote to the tedium! We’ve Marie Kondo’d the internet for you and found some of our favourite musical acts to make up this week’s excellent lineup.

First we zip over codes to Queens in New York to visit LINA TULLGREN (USA), an avant-popster who has recently released tunes on coveted label Captured Tracks. Skrrrting down to Nashville to perform through your screens will be BECCA MANCARI (USA), who plays in group Bermuda Triangle alongside Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes. Becca’s solo music is a multi-dimensional force to be reckoned with.

Winding up the first part of the fest will be Melbourne by way of Ceduna, South Australia, wondrously talented First Nation’s artist LADY LASH; one-to-watch who combines equal parts jazz, hip hop and storytelling to captivate her steadily growing fanbase.

After all that magic we take a trip down the Princess Highway and shine a beaming light on the GEELONG AND BELLARINE musical landscape. Eight bands from the region will be performing across eight beloved venues in the region – a smorgasbord of sounds to connect your console to.

Kicking off the Victorian southern-charm will be young rocker JASPER JOLLEY (OF BONES AND JONES) followed by 21 year old self-confessed rambler HASSALL, local First Nations muso MICK RYAN, sundrenched indie poppers RACH BRENNAN & THE PINES, a local supergroup LOS MARIACHI EL CLIFTOS! (starring the ukulele queen of Bellarine SARAH CARROLL and her sons FENN WILSON and GEORGE CARROLL WILSON), soulful singer HOLLIE JOYCE, local legend JEFF LANG and Ocean Grove badass rollickin’ rollers BIN.

Rounding out Isol-Aid 18 this week, we’re teaming up with men’s health charity MOVEMBER, in an effort to encourage people to start a conversation with the men in their lives who might be going through a tough time – particularly those in Melbourne, who still face five long weeks in lockdown.

Isol-Aid is excited to present a special performance presented by Movember from ESKIMO JOE’S KAV TEMPERLEY ahead of a forthcoming new single from the band ‘Say Something’, and live streamer extraordinaire DAVID COSMA.

Research conducted by Movember earlier this year, found that eight out of 10 Australian men find it helpful when people ask if they’re having a difficult time, yet over half say no one has asked how they’re coping during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We love that our festival is free to watch, but we do ask online attendees to help support the artists if you can. 100% of whatever you donate will go directly to the Isol-Aid artists and their teams.

As you know, the loss of touring and live performance income has caused financial strain and even strife for many in our music community. Throwing in even what you’d normally pay for a beer or two at the show will make a huge difference to these acts. And we’ll be eternally grateful, too!

You can look good and feel amazing. Artist donations, merch and feel good vibes from isolaidfestival.com.
