The final of the IWBC 2022 Consistency Singles was played on Tuesday November 15 between Lyn Briggs and Margaret Gosper. Congratulations go to both players for reaching the final from the nine players who entered the competition.

Lyn was the winner of this competitive game and this continued her run of Iluka Championships and other wins this year. Her consistent level of skill was evident this year as she secured wins in Championship Singles, Pairs, Mixed Pairs, and Fours as well as wins in other club competitions.

Consistency singles provides a different challenge in the game where the first five shots are allocated scores from five down to one and the winner is the first to reach 150 points.

The Queen of the Green competition has been quite popular this year and concluded on Thursday November 7 as there are no more challengers for this year. The trophy will be presented to this year’s winner in the next few weeks.

The presentation night for both women and men is a combined dinner at the club on Monday December 12, so all players including social are urged to add their name to the attendance sheet. The night will start with a Chinese smorgasbord costing $18 each.

The list for attendees at our Christmas party is on the noticeboard, so members are urged to add their names and join us for a fun morning with a Christmas theme and then a tasty lunch.
