A mesmerising performance encompassing rich and powerful vocals, delightful humour, and energetic storytelling created a magical ambience which radiated throughout the Saraton Theatre in Grafton on November 19, when two of Australia’s most beloved and widely acclaimed operatic and theatrical stars brought their ‘The 2 Of Us’ tour to the Clarence Valley.

Accompanied by esteemed pianist David Cameron, David Hobson and Marina Prior captivated and enchanted the audience, and received standing ovations as they united on stage and performed award winning songs from classic productions including The Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Cats, and La Boheme, along with tribute pieces in honour of famed folk quartet The Seekers, and the late singer and songwriter Judith Durham.

As they spoke graciously to the large crowd gathered before them and shared their heartfelt joy at being able to return to Grafton during the jacaranda season, the performers also took the opportunity to acknowledge their fans and the wider community for their ongoing support throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, which resulted in their highly anticipated The 2 Of Us tour being rescheduled on multiple occasions since 2021.

The two-hour concert concluded with a beautiful performance of The Holy City and another of The Seekers favourite tunes, Morningtown Ride.
