Iluka man wins $100k in lottery

Spending more time with family is on the top of the agenda for an Iluka man who won $100,000 in a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The man discovered he won the guaranteed first prize of $100,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10769, drawn on April 21.

When an official from The Lott called to confirm the winning news, the man cheered ‘You Beauty’.

“I’ve never won anything like this,” he said.

“I got some correspondence from The Lott and just assumed it was a scam.

“It’s certainly not a scam!”

The man said he plays Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot every week and as he owns everything he has; it was time to travel to see loved ones.

“I’ll tell you what, I own everything I’ve got – all that’s left to do is take my wife on an overdue trip to see our nearest and dearest,” he said.

“It’s a wonderful, wonderful feeling.

“Thank you so much.”

The man’s winning entry of one random number was purchased at Pelicans Post, Iluka.

Pelicans Post owner Jacqui McAusland said they were ecstatic to have sold their first 1st Prize winning ticket in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.

“This is the first time we’ve sold a major prize, we’re buzzing with excitement,” she said.

“We’ve got some balloons outside and a sign inside of our store, we love being able to share this win with our customers.

“Our customers are just as excited as us since it’s our first one.

“We get so excited for our customers when we sell any type of winning entry, but it’s a fantastic feeling when your store sells its first major prize-winning entry, it gives you a real buzz.

“To our winner, congratulations!

“We are so excited for you; we hope you enjoy your prize, and we thank you for your support.

“We look forward to seeing you again soon.”
