Iluka ladies held their Christmas break-up on Wednesday November 27. We had a depleted field of 26 hit off to play a 2 person Ambrose for bottles of wine sponsored by Mark Adey. 

Winners were Laurice Poore and Anne Speirs with 34 nett and runners up Lyn Briggs and Jan Ellery with 35. 

Draw of the cards for last two prizes went to Pattie Bond and Chris Wissink.

Gobbler winners were the two Chrises – Chris Kembrey and Chris Cavallo.

The lunch of sausages and onions was cooked by Peter Whitton and Steve Bond who filled in for Dallas who was at Woombah, cut off by the bushfires. Tasty salads were provided by the lady golfers and finished with a festive cake from Annette’s bakery. 

During summer the ladies will be playing a chook run on Wednesday morning. Hit off between 7 and 8am. 

The ladies presentation night on Monday November 25 was enjoyed by all with a delicious baked dinner from Jack’s restaurant. Desserts were prepared by the lady golfers. 

The winners for the year celebrated and fine music provided by Deb Ashcroft, Jan Ellery and Sandra Morrow; all driven home safely by Peter Boulton in the bus. 

The Iluka ladies golfers thank the Independent for their great sports coverage during the year and wish everyone at the Independent and the readers a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
