Twelve ladies enjoyed a cool but sunny morning at the pristine Iluka golf course, vying for the monthly medal in a Stroke and Putt competition, on Wednesday, August 2. Medal winner was Yvonne Dunne with a nett of 36. Yvonne had an all round winning day, with all the ladies joining her for a belated 70th birthday lunch after golf. Sam Burns closely followed Yvonne with a nett of 37. Worthy of mention was the putting achievements of Ellie McIntyre with 15 putts over the 9 holes, closely followed by Jan Stephenson just one off, with 16 putts. Also to be noted; Jan had a great ‘chip in’ and was awarded the ‘Encouragement Award’. It was great to see her back enjoying her golf. Our playing group numbers have been steadily increasing.
