Last Friday before play commenced we had our AGM and only one new person was welcomed on board, joining the previous committee that was elected unopposed; welcome Ross Cliff and thank you to all that turned out.

Results for the day after the meeting saw four players sharing the podium: Deb, Janny, Ross and Bob.

Sunday saw a new player front up for some much needed practice after he had issued a challenge to two of our best double’s players, maybe one less schooner would have averted this problem but much to the amusement of some of his fellow bowlers who seemed to think he was more suited to croquet than bowls, Greg did acquit himself quiet well, adapting to our game very well; so let the challenge begin. Unfortunately, after starting out by winning the first two games, everything went to… well you know what.

Winner of the day and the club cash award was Bob finishing in front of Sue. So hopefully we have a big turnout of bowlers and croquet players to watch when the challenge is on, so watch this space.
