With the changes coming, and proposals for the client of a HCP to finance more of their own package, I raise the question:

Why do Providers deduct from their Client’s package a whole lot more money than an item costs – whether that be:

for labour (in the case of a Cleaner, more than double the wage) or services (in the case of a Podiatrist, an extra $4.50 per visit, Physiotherapist an extra $8.90 per visit) or goods (in the case of a bed, an extra $375)?

Especially as there are already DAILY fees, as in Care Management Fees, Plan Management Fees and Income Tested Care fees. GST is already included in those sums.
