Hogan takes Question Time to the voters

Federal member for Page Kevin Hogan will use his Facebook page to allow residents of the Northern Rivers and Clarence Valley to ask their own questions in Parliament’s Question Time. “I am asking residents of Page to ask their own questions to Parliament via my Facebook page,” he said. From the next sitting week starting November 9 until the end of the year the Government will trial ‘Constituency Question Time’ to run every sitting day as part of Questions Without Notice. Mr Hogan said before the trial starts he will place an icon on his Facebook page to allow enrolled voters of Page to put forward their own questions to the Prime Minister and Ministers which he will ask on their behalf. The trial will typically involve about five questions from Government backbenchers to relevant Ministers each day. The same opportunity is being offered to Opposition backbenchers.
