High Tea at the Iluka Golf Club

On Monday September 2 the Iluka Ladies Golf Club held a very successful ‘High Tea’ with over 140 ladies being greeted with a free Champagne on arrival.

M.C. Gabrielle Behn welcomed everyone and explained the origins of the High Tea, Yvonne Dunn did the commentary for the fashion parade with models from Leica’s Iguana Beachwear and Emma Ridgeway gave a short talk on community health and the services available. The Iluka Dance Group performed an entertaining dance routine choreographed by Lauren Moore.

There were lucky door prizes of two gorgeous orchids – won by Janis Radin and Jenny Ledger and the winner of the fascinator competition was Emma Mills who made her own colourful fascinator and won a beautiful floral arrangement from Funky Floral.

The hardworking ladies’ committee and helpers made their usual mammoth effort led by president Ann Dean who organised the High Tea and the amazing array of home cooked savoury and sweet treats. We are lucky to have such a hardworking president, committee and volunteers.

Huge thanks must go to the businesses and sponsors who provided the wonderful raffle prizes where each winner had a pick of the table.

Everyone enjoyed themselves so much, already ladies are asking when the next High Tea will be held – stay tuned.
