I attended the Maclean High School assembly recently. It was great to see students vying to be School Captains give their speeches. All were very impressive, congratulations for putting your hands up.

I open a new two-lane bridge across Endless Creek on the Old Glen Innes Road recently. The new $1 million bridge was jointly funded by the Federal and NSW governments. This bridge is important for school buses, residents, tourists and is part of the “first mile” for farmers and the forestry industry to get their product to market.

Karen and I had a wonderful night recently at this year’s Clarence Valley Business Awards.
A big congratulations to all the nominees and category winners. Also thank you to the organisers and sponsors. It was a fun night acknowledging all the small businesses which do so much in our community.
