Grants to help those who help us

Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said 700 local volunteers will benefit from grants totalling almost $97,000 for 26 community organisations in the Clarence Valley. “I would like to thank all our volunteers who freely give their time,” he said. “Volunteers play a critical role in shaping our community and making us stronger and resilient. These grants will help the volunteers who help us. Mr Hogan put out a call to all our volunteer organisations to apply for the grant last October. In all, Mr Hogan last month announced grants totalling almost $350,000 for 92 volunteer organisations across the entire electorate of Page which will benefit almost 2500 volunteers. The volunteer organisations in the Clarence Valley that received a grant are: Australian Traditional Longboarding Association, Braunstone Social and Tennis Club, Coutts Crossing Cougars Football Club, Grafton Meals on Wheels, Grafton Men’s Shed, Grafton U3A, Harwood Cricket Club, Lend A Hand Ministries, Lower Clarence Community Radio, ACAFE@Yamba, Meals on Wheels Iluka, National parks Association, Yamba Yacht Club, Copmanhurst SES, Nymboida SES, Grafton Stroke Recovery Club, Mend & Make Do, Partners of Veterans, Uniting Caroona, Maclean Football Club, Maclean Lower Clarence United Hospital Auxiliary, Clarence Valley Aboriginal Men’s Group and Clarence Valley Vietnam Veterans Association’
