Grafton Red Cross

Our Easter competition was drawn last week with 1st prize going to Chris Beckerton and 2nd to Karen Tasker. Hope you enjoyed the baskets of Easter goodies. Thank you to the community for supporting Red Cross. Funds raised assist Red Cross programs in Australia and abroad. Our Trauma Teddy co-ordinator Judy reported that we have delivered several bags of teddies to local organisations but we are very short of knitters at the moment. The teddies are knitted to a specific pattern available from Red Cross website or at the branch. If you are interested in helping us with knitting a contact number is 6642 1583. Members are happy to complete the bears by sewing them together and filling them. Our annual morning tea and Tombola will be held on Wednesday April 20 at Legacy House commencing at 10am. Invitations have been sent to community organisations and bookings can be made phoning 6642 1583. Join us for a morning of fun with lots of prizes. May 13 we will be holding our street stall in Prince Street with lots of lovely home cooking, jams and pickles for sale. Visitors and new members are always welcome to join us on third Monday of each month at Legacy House. Next meeting is April 18 at 1.30pm. Barb Green
