Check out Maclean Rotary Club’s Giant Book Sale
Are you interested in candle making, drawing, learning a new language, sports coaching and training?
And what about gardening, fishing, crafts and embroidery, and world travel?
There is all of these subjects as well as autobiographies, history –European and Australian, politics, as well as thousands of novels if you just want to relax and read
The Maclean Rotary Club offers all of these possibilities at its next Giant Book Sale this weekend, April 8 & 9.
Again it will be held in the dining room at the Maclean Bowls Club, with doors opening at 9 am on Friday to 6 pm, and 9 am to noon on Saturday.
As usual, there is a large numbers of books for children of all ages from two-year old to early teens, and there is also a separate section for older teens.
Books in these sections are free to children and teens, although grandmas are asked for a donation.
Despite the large number of books sold at recent sales, the numbers have been more than replaced with public donations and cullings from the local libraries.
All books are sold at $6 for the reuseable or plastic bag full.
All proceeds from the sales are shared with the local library service and will go towards a Rotary project of providing a rescue trailer for lifeguards at Brooms Head, and separate television viewing for patients intensive care units at Maclean Hospital.
