Over 30 members enjoyed our September mid-day luncheon at the TAFE college where the students prepared a buffet for us and other guests.

Our October luncheon will be at South Grafton Services Club on October 1. The Lower Clarence bus trip will be on October 8, leaving the library at 8.15 and South Services at 8.30.

At our September monthly meeting our president Ramon Wilson invited us all to “Remember When” and then proceeded to describe our childhood lifestyle – not at all like today.

Next month’s 5-minute speaker will be Bill Johnston. Our main speaker was local dentist, Nancy Rajan, who spoke about dental health for seniors. Her explanation of how bone density can affect the teeth was especially interesting and there were plenty of questions.

Our next meeting will be at South Grafton Bowling Club at 10am on October 17. Prospective members are welcome.

Members should also remember “Afternoon at the Proms” on October 27 and our invitation to take part in the Mental Health Walk on October 10.
