Twenty one members were welcomed to our September meeting by President Margaret Bailey and a welcome to new member Lorraine Pottenger. Get well wishes were expressed for those member who have not been well and also for those who have been in hospital. Sympathy was expressed for one of our long serving members Marjorie Anthony who passed away on August 31 aged 104. Eight members celebrated birthdays in September and five of these  members are now well into their nineties. We are privileged to have their contributions to our Laurel Club and birthday congratulations to expressed these lovely ladies. Legatee Michael Sexton thanked members who had put their names on the roster and participated in Legacy Week selling badges, pens and bears and said it was a successful week. Our next meeting is on Wednesday, October 5 at 10.30am.     Lynn Griffith
