Thursday 17th September With a remarkable winning margin, Mavis Smith and Peter McGruer swept the field in a six-table Howell match. Friday 18th September A five-table Howell event was played with Frank Campbell and John Sheehan in first place. Second were Claire Henry and Joan O’Connor; Joan Stephenson and Jean Felton came third.
