Grafton Breast Cancer Support Group

A breast cancer diagnosis can result in a range of emotions from panic and fear, resolve and determination.

The diagnosis of cancer is different for everyone, but we all need support, understanding and empathy.

The Grafton Breast Cancer Support Group members have had many differing struggles and challenges.

Our members have experienced a range of on-going treatments and surgeries.

Some have even faced second and third cancer diagnoses, but we are still standing!

We want to help others who have been diagnosed with this very common disease and make the path easier through financial and practical assistance.

The funds that we have available are spent in the Clarence Valley for local people to benefit the local community of cancer patients and their families.

Financial support for out of pocket treatment costs (full or partial) may also be available to help pay for scans and medications.

But it’s not all “doom and gloom”. We get together to have fun and live each day joyfully, sharing lunches and cuppas and fund-raising events.

If you need any help or just a chance to talk about issues that you are facing, please contact us.

We will be meeting on Friday April 5 at the South Grafton District Ex-Servicemen’s Club, 2 Wharf Street, South Grafton at 10am.
