Grafton Branch Hospital Auxiliary

Good news from our monthly meeting, we are pleased to announce our 22/23 Assistant Secretary, congratulations and thank you Di Nixon. A loud round of applause from the members followed this announcement. Also thank you Gary, Annemarie, Marianne, Kaye, Gerri, Barb, Carol and her team for taking on the sub- committee roles. What a great group of people we have in our organisation. Also, we welcome our recent new members Barb Sanders, Mary King, Della Cansdell, Julie Gusman and Annemarie Millea.

Our venture into Bunnings BBQ last Saturday was an amazing success, can’t believe how many sausages were cooked and sold. Thank you, Bunnings, for the opportunity and thanks once again to the Grafton community for your support, as for our workers we can’t thank them enough for putting up their hands and doing such a brilliant job.

We also had time to draw our latest raffle, and the winning tickets are 1st prize coffee set donated by Kindred Folk ticket number 18970, 2nd prize Necklace donated by Divanix ticket number 19334, 3rd prize $50 gift card donated by Big W Grafton ticket number 19102. Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to the businesses who donated the prizes.

Now for our next big event, a ‘Second Time Around Fashion Fundraiser.’ A morning tea and parade to be held at the New School of Arts on Sunday September 25, arrival at 10.30am with parade to commence at 11am. Tickets only $15 and are available from our Clothing & Collectable Shop,107 Pound Street. Shop is open Tuesday – Friday 9.30 – 3.30 and Saturday 9.30 – 12.30.

If you want to make a group booking with friends let us know when purchasing your tickets.

As usual our members will provide a delicious homemade morning tea with raffles, trading table and lucky door prizes all part of the fun. A lively discussion erupted at the meeting about who will be modelling and how we can make this a fun event for everyone. We are now in the process of selecting the clothes from our varied range at the shop.

Always thankful for the quality range of goods donated by the community. We have had a sudden rush of sales of top range dinner and cutlery sets at the shop this last week.

The shop has exceeded our expectations and has a steady stream of loyal shoppers.

Our next monthly meeting will be held at GDSC on Wednesday September 28 at 1.30pm. Anyone wishing to join our organisation is welcome to come along for a cuppa and a chat about how we raise funds and purchase equipment for our Grafton Hospital.
