In Pennants on Saturday our No 3’s lost away 9 to 1 against Maclean; No 4’s lost away to South Ex 9 to1; No 5’s lost at home 8 to 2 to Iluka; No 7’s won at home 9 to 1 over Iluka a well done to all. Saturday’s play of the day goes to the No 7 side of J Ryan, R Payne, A Gough, Kaos for a great team effort 38 to 8 win. Club Championship games continued last Sunday in Major Pairs & Major Singles 1st the Pairs saw R Robinson, K Foster go down 21/16 to J Cameron, K Garner. Another game that went to the wire was C Bennett, R Grant 19/13 d R Marchant, J Hall and A Gough, T Lickiss 27/8 d L Bassett, Kaos. The players in the Major Singles turned it on again with some great shot making a very good display of draw bowls, with M Walsh 31 d K McWaters 30 and G Maxted 31 in a master class d A Knox 9.
