FOUR NEW POLICE ARRIVING IN THE CLARENCE AND RICHMOND VALLEY

Four fresh probationary constables will be deployed in the Police Districts enforcing the law in the Clarence and Richmond Valleys, Clarence Nationals MP Richie Williamson has announced.

Mr Williamson said the four new recruits were part of the Class 358 attestation at the Goulburn Police Academy today.

Coffs/Clarence will receive three new officers while the Richmond District which includes the Richmond Valley local government area gets one new officer.

“I welcome the new recruits to the NSW Police Force family and am delighted they will be joining the ranks in this wonderful part of the state,” Mr Williamson said.

“These officers are joining an outstanding team of police officers who serve the people of the Richmond and Clarence valleys with pride and who go above and beyond every day keeping our communities safe.

“Policing can be a dangerous and challenging job and we are indebted to all our police offers for putting their lives on the line as they serve with distinction.”

Mr Williamson said the new probationary constables follow on from the twelve who joined the local Police Districts he represents back in April.  They are in addition to the record 1500 increase in NSW Police that we saw under the former Liberal and Nationals Government during its last term.

The new recruits will report to their respective stations for work next Monday and will then complete 12 months on-the-job training and study by distance education with Charles Sturt University.
