The Maclean Bowling Club will host their annual Maclean Cup Fashion Parade and High Tea on June 24, with all proceeds raised from the festivities to be donated to the Maclean Hospital Auxiliary.

While guests are invited to dress in their best race day attire and complete their outfits with the addition of some stunning hats and headpieces, the latest styles and in-season trends from local businesses including Clovelly’s Fashions, Ta’Chele Australis, and Heart of Space, will also look to create some fashionable inspirations ahead of the 2023 July Racing Carnival when modelled on the catwalk.

Tamara Bendeich, Marketing and Promotions Manager from the Maclean Bowling Club, said the popular annual event, which was first held in 2016, has raised $5500 during the last seven years for the Maclean Hospital Auxiliary.

And as she prepares to welcome attendees this weekend, Ms Bendeich told the Clarence Valley Independent she is confident of equalling, and hopefully beating, the $1400 total raised from the event in 2022.

“It’s always a lovely event, the ladies love it,” she said.

“Everyone gets dressed up and has a good time at the club.”

Ms Bendeich also confirmed Vicki Gulaptis will be the MC for the event again this year.

The Maclean Cup Fashion Parade and High Tea will begin at 2pm.

Tickets cost $40 and can be purchased from the Maclean Bowling Club.

Guests will also receive a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival, and the afternoon will also include live entertainment by Adam Hourigan, along with raffles, lucky door prizes, and prizes for the best dressed lady and best fascinator/hat/headpiece.
