enhance their education with music

The Clarence Valley Conservatorium is the centre of performing arts in the Clarence Valley and offers quality tuition in a wide range of musical instruments as well as speech and drama. The Con is open from Monday to Friday during school terms and caters for students of all ages 0-80. Research has shown that exposing your child to music at an early age greatly enhances their education. Our extended Kidzjam program now caters for 0-5yr olds for those mums, dads & carers who would like to bring along their babies to get them started early. With over 20 highly skilled and experienced staff, the Conservatorium is able to provide an extensive schools program with our tutors currently teaching at many Clarence Valley Schools. Tutors Kris Edwards, Garrett Salter, Sharon Davidge, Melissa Smith and Peter Morgan provide the expertise in tutoring students in local schools on a range of band instruments including Clarinet, Saxophone, Bass Guitar, Brass, Flute, Percussion & Vocal. Guitar tutors Ryan Enns and Luke Gough, visit a large number of Clarence Valley students with Luke teaching in Grafton and Ryan covering the Lower Clarence. Each year with support from the Department of Education, the Conservatorium hosts a number of visiting artists both nationally and internationally recognised. Still to come in 2016 are Don Juan (August 21) and Streeton Trio (November 13). Visit the Con’s webpage at cvcon.com.au or drop into our office at 8 Villiers Street for more information about our programs and performances.
