Do you know an amazing young achiever?

Nominations for the NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards are now open. Why not nominate a young person you know that is achieving great results or who is actively involved in the local or broader community? You could make the world of difference to a young person’s confidence through a nomination and inspire them to continue their good work. The awards aim to recognise NSW’s and the ACT’s outstanding young achievers (up to 29 years of age), who are making a real difference. The current NSW/ACT Young Achiever of the Year, Rhett Burraston, spoke at the recent launch of the awards, about the importance of recognising our young people and the difference it can make to their self worth. “Nominate someone, it could really make a difference,” said Rhett. Nominations close on December 7, 2015 in the following categories: • The Coffee Club Arts and Fashion Award • AustralianSuper Career Kick Start Award • Freemasons of NSW and ACT Community Service Award • WHO Printing Environment and Sustainability Award • Aboriginal Education Council Aboriginal Education Award • Santos Indigenous Achievement Award • First National Real Estate Leadership Award The NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards will culminate with a gala presentation dinner on Friday April 1, 2016 at The SMC Conference and Function Centre in Sydney, with 400 guests expected. Category winners will each receive a $2,500, thanks to Masonicare, and a magnificent trophy. One of the seven category winners will be chosen as the 2016 NSW/ACT Young Achiever of the Year and will win an additional $5,000, thanks to Masonicare, and a state trophy.
