Yamba Veterans held a single Stapleford medley on Monday August 10 with 60 players in attendance, including visitors from Goulburn, Shelly Beach, Warragul and Coolangatta clubs.

High scores were the order of the day with the first five winning cash prizes. Danny Quinn was the winner with 41 points followed by Mike Shirlow 39, Terry Winser also with 39,Ron Boundy 38 and Lyn Brownlee 36.

The Ball Rundown went to 33 points and included Mike Grills, Vic White, Barry Fisher, Janine Ziestch, Greg Starr, Wayne Rice, John Ralph, Alex Podbereski and Ken Lillie.

NTPs: (20 plus handicap), Bruce Ziestch had a blinder with birdies, winning the 9th and 12th holes; 3rd hole – Vic White, Vet’s 0-19 handicap; 3rd hole – Terry Cumiskey; 9th hole – Guy Carpenter; 12th hole – Alex Greig.

The raffle winners were Dave Robertson and Peter Jarman.

The next Vets is Monday August 31.  Don’t forget Vet’s and Seniors play each alternate Monday.
