CWA Tearoom was a hit

Grafton Show was a very busy time for the South Grafton CWA Tearooms in the TJ Ford Pavilion. A record number of scones, 54 dozen, was made on the premises and enjoyed by the Show patrons with tea or coffee. Our sandwiches also proved to be popular.

On Friday we were given a helping hand to make sandwiches by the Serco Community Projects Group. A group from Whiddon came to visit on Friday; how lovely to see the residents on their annual outing to the Show and have them enjoy morning tea.

Saturday was another busy day. The 150th Grafton Show was officially opened by Her Excellency, The Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of NSW. Our CWA Branch supplied scones and slices for the afternoon tea.

The scone delivery vehicle to the afternoon tea was an experience for our ladies! Kevin Hogan, MP took delivery.

South Grafton Evening Branch were thrilled with the success of the Tearooms. There were numerous compliments!

A BIG THANK YOU for the wonderful support from our Clarence Valley Community.
