Members please note only ten more sleeps until the Rock and Roll night at the Yamba Bowling Club, don’t miss this fun night, come and rock along with Frankie and the Grey Js and get amongst the prizes for best rockers costume and dancers with the most amazing moves. $15 for dinner and entertainment beginning at 6 pm, or just come along at 7pm to the entertainment for $5. Tickets are available from Group Leaders or Robyn 6645 8676, all proceeds will go to the Rural Fire Service. Roz is anxious to hear from those wanting to go to the Bangalow Markets on Sunday 25th October, there are seats still available for any interested people, coach leaves Maclean at 8am, ring and reserve your seat (6646 0235). Get your week off to a good start with a session at the Monday morning ‘Meditation Group Yamba’ which has reconvened, more participants are needed so contact Robyn 6645 8676 for more information. Vacancies exist in a number of other groups including ‘Art in Lino’ on Wednesdays contact Karl 6645 3614, ‘Mah-jong’ on Thursday at CWA Maclean (Heather 6645 2846), ‘Marching for Leisure’ (Bev 0458 505 386) and the Monday ‘Hebel Sculpture’ group needs members and also a tutor, so if there’s anyone out there proficient in Hebel sculpting or would like to join this group contact Kay 6646 4465. There has been an enquiry about beginning a ‘Leatherwork’ group and Martin Ochtman (6646 4521) would appreciate your input if you have a talent in this area, or know of someone who could tutor a group. Graham LaMotte (6646 8561) is keen to begin a ‘Radio Controlled Boat’ group at Kolora Lagoon Yamba, expressions of interest are being sought from interested people. Sandra Gregor
