Council offering seven new traineeships

Seven new traineeships are being offered by the Clarence Valley Council. The traineeships range across a number of council functions including engineering, care and support services, information technology, finance, horticulture and administration. It includes one indigenous traineeship in addition to five ArtsReady traineeships that were filled recently. Study opportunities would be at university and TAFE levels. Human resources manager, Kathleen O’Sullivan, said council played a vital role in supporting local employment opportunities. “The traineeships will provide further opportunities within the Clarence Valley for people to find meaningful employment, which in some cases may be ongoing with Clarence Valley Council,” she said. Ms O’Sullivan said the successful applicants would start in their positions in January next year. All council vacancies are advertised on its website www.clarence.nsw.gov.au and www.seek.com.au and interested persons are encouraged to apply.
