Companions of Caroona Auxiliary held their AGM and General Meeting July 11 which saw the following Executive for 2016/17 elected by visitor, Laurie Nutt: President – Joy Lauder; 1st VP – Rozanne Muscat; 2nd VP – Rita Nutt; Secretary – Elaine Miller; Treasurer – Ian Lauder. The outgoing Executive was thanked and new Executive welcomed. Thanks to all members for their contributions during the past 12 months and we look forward to not just meetings, but some fun outings for the next year. Joy welcomed two new members, Norm and Dee and Manager Debra Smith attended and answered lots of questions by members. She also reported on certain extensions happening at the facility. Members were invited to have lunch with the residents September 12, but unfortunately, we had to change date to September 26. A general meeting will be held following lunch which will begin at 12 noon. Please phone Joy 6646 1124 if you will be attending this luncheon, so that caterer can be advised accordingly. Lovely pots will be purchased for the plants the Auxiliary has donated over the past few months. There will be no meeting August 8, but an afternoon tea will be enjoyed by members at Craig and Irons Cafe commencing 2pm. Members will be advised of any information etc. at afternoon tea.
