Community Walk for William

Lynne Mowbray Communities around the Clarence Valley came together on Saturday to show their support and to raise awareness for missing toddler William Tyrrell during the nation-wide Walk 4 William. William disappeared from the village of Kendall NSW, one year ago. Organiser of the Grafton event Francoise Munce said that from the moment that William disappeared we have unwittingly become silent witnesses to this devastating story. “We’ve watched it play out on our TV screens right across our country and taken a back seat view to this family’s unimaginable pain and torment,” she said. “Saturday’s event was about William and our hope is that should any child go missing in the future, it will not take 12 long months before we stand together and fight for their rights.” Around 200 community members joined in on Saturdays walk in Grafton. “It’s time to be the voice for our children and grandchildren,” said Ms Munce.
