Community survey for palliative care

Clarence Valley not for profit organisation, CRANES Community Support Programs is looking to establish a social enterprise business in the Clarence Valley to help sustain its Palliative Care Volunteer Support Service. CRANES is inviting community members, and visitors to the area to have their say by completing a short questionnaire over a cup of coffee. “We would like to know what Clarence Valley residents and visitors prefer to do with their leisure time, and what they enjoy shopping for” said Maggie Barnewall, Manager of CRANES Palliative Care Volunteer Support Program. Now in its tenth year, the CRANES Palliative Care Program has a team of highly skilled and dedicated volunteers who work alongside the Community Nurses Palliative Care team. Volunteers make home visits supporting people with life limiting illness and provide much needed time out for family members and supporters. Survey questionnaires may be found during April at several business locations in Yamba, Maclean and Grafton:- Calypso Holiday Park, Yamba; Yamba Backpackers; Yamba Sun Motel; Yamba Aston Motel; Yamba Iluka Real Estate; Dunes Café, Yamba Fair; Raymond Laurie Sports Centre, Yamba; Caperberry Cafe, Yamba; Toast Espresso Café, Grafton, Botero Café, Maclean; CRANES office, The Pullens Centre, 3-7 Prince Street, Grafton; CRANES office, Cnr Clyde and John Street, Maclean.
