Clarence River U3A car boot sale

All are invited to the ‘Men’s Shed’ 10th Anniversary Car Boot Sale to be held next Saturday, September 17 at 130 Jubilee Street Townsend. It costs $10 per vehicle to sell your unwanted goods after your Spring cleanup. Or just come along and view some of the great work done at the shed. The U3A ‘Book Clubs’ are having a 2nd hand book sale and would appreciate any donations. They can be taken to the ‘Maclean Book’ group next Friday, or call Jill 6646 8827. The Mens Shed want to especially thank Vikki Seekamp from Elders Real Estate Yamba, for the donation of a magnificent TV/DVD which will be used for instructional videos. A new ‘Aerobics’ group will be starting soon. It will be held at the Raymond Laurie Sports Centre on Tuesdays from 11-12. We have an experienced instructor, Lin to guide us. Initial cost will be $5 per session to cover rent of the ‘dance’ room, but may be less depending on the number of people who attend. You will need a yoga mat, weights if you have/want them, and water. Leave the flashy lycra at home. Contact Laura 6646 9020. The ‘Gardening’ group are planning a trip to Bangalow market on Sunday, September 25 by bus. All U3a members and partners/friends are welcome. Cost – $21. We leave Yamba, Claude St RTA stop at 8am, Centrelink (8.10am), Palmers Island (8.15am), Ferry Park (8.30am) and Woombah Woods (8.45am). We usually add other interesting stops so home by 4.30-5.30.
