‘Croquet’ began at Yamba’s Raymond Laurie Sporting Complex last Tuesday, there has been an overwhelming response to this new activity. The ‘Women’s Shed’ members are rejoicing in the addition of several new members after enrolment day, they still have vacancies and would welcome many more enthusiastic Shed workers. We have introduced a new ‘Social Activities’ program with several exciting outings on the agenda the first of which will be a walk from Shark Bay to Sedger’s Reef pub Iluka on April 18. The ‘Joy of Gardening’ members are anxiously waiting for February 26 to roll along as this will be this Groups first meeting for the year, get along to the Treelands Drive Community Centre at 9am for a fun morning and after this first meeting any interested members can take a tour of Nicholson’s Fine Food, in the industrial estate Yamba, and perhaps even sample some of their delicious products. Seats are still available on the garden tour of the Tablelands, all CRU3A members and partners are invited to take part in this tour. Phone Ros 6646 0235 for bookings. ‘Let’s All Sing’ group is over the moon at the enrolment of five new members including one very welcome gent, their diary for the year is filling up fast with gigs at St. Francis Villa on Thursday February 25, The Retirement Village March 17 for St. Pat’s Day frivolities, then to Rathgar Aged Care on April 12. What a treat the residents of these homes have in store for them. The ladies of the ‘Scottish Dance’ group are getting excited about the upcoming Scottish event, new skirts are in the wardrobe ready for their first swirl or two at the Easter Highland Gathering in Maclean.
