We had a great turnout for our 5th AGM in July; a big thank you to our past committee and congratulations on our new committee.

Much has happened in the last 12 months including splits, workshops, displays, Grafton Show, Orara Valley Fair, bus trips and various guest speakers. Let’s not forget our rescue hives and maintenance. Well done everyone.

Our normal meeting then went on to discuss next years’ events including a session on different techniques to split hives, our next solitary bee motel workshop in September and our next full day workshop on October 26. Thank you to Wayne Fuller who gave a very interesting talk about bee nutrition.

Next meeting is Thursday August 1 at South Grafton RSL Club at 5.30pm and will include a presentation on native solitary bees.
