Changed traffic conditions on the Pacific Highway at Mororo

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Pacific Highway at Mororo to progress early work between Farlows Lane and Chatsworth Road as part of the Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway upgrade. Early work activities include spraying weeds, installing access gates, fencing and signage, line marking and earthwork. Work will be carried out on both sides of the Pacific Highway just south of the Mororo Road intersection for a distance of about 600 metres. Around six hectares of vegetation will be cleared within the project area and be managed in accordance with the approved environmental management plan and biodiversity offset strategy. Work will be carried out on weekdays between 7am and 6pm and Saturdays between 8am and 5pm until November, excluding public holidays. Temporary traffic changes including lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for up to six weeks, weather permitting. Roads and Maritime Services thank the community for its patience while the work is carried out.
