New corporate Facebook page for Clarence Valley Council

The Clarence Valley Council has a new corporate Facebook page. General manager, Scott Greensill, said the council already had more than a dozen Facebook sites covering special interest areas like culture, library services, youth, seniors, economic development, the animal pound and others, but the new site would be more general. “We’ll use the new site to let residents know about a whole range of council services and activities,” he said. Mr Greensill said, however, the new site would not replace the council’s traditional customer service model. “People who have a broken water pipe, a pothole they need fixing or any other issue they want addressed will still need to contact our customer service centres in Grafton or Maclean,” he said. “They can do this by dropping in, phoning us on 6643 0200 (after hours on 6626 6858), emailing council@clarence.nsw.gov.au or writing to us at Locked Bag 23, Grafton, 2460. “We’ve had the site up and running for just over a week and it’s already generating quite a bit of traffic. We’d now like people to look us up and ‘like’ us so we can get audience numbers and participation up.” Mr Greensill said that to find the new page, people just needed to log onto Facebook and search for Clarence Valley Council.
