Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week on Summerland Way at Wiangaree to carry out maintenance and inspection work on Jenny Constable Bridge.

One traffic lane will be closed from 7am to 6pm on Monday 23 November to carry out inspections and maintenance on bridge bearings, to ensure the bridge continues to provide safe and reliable service for many years to come.

Bridge bearings sit between the bridge piers and the deck and allow controlled movement between piers and the deck to reduce stresses in the superstructure. They require periodic maintenance.

Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
