Ed, I refer to a letter concerning bulk rubbish collection in the CV Independent (21/6/17). I totally agree with the views expressed, and believe the purpose of the collection is to collect those items that are too large or heavy for the red bin, like cupboards, mattresses, lounges etc. Smaller items can go in the red bin each fortnight, with cardboard from boxes in the yellow bin. This would save a lot of time and mess during the annual pick up, and would get rid of rubbish as it accumulates, rather than save it for an annual clean up. Sandra Connelly, Grafton
